MEDITATION AS A WAY TO SELF-KNOWLEDGE AND RELEASE.

Contrary to Western views and practices, Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices, but also a true philosophical tradition. Originally from one of the six Hindu Orthodox schools, Yoga is not only the modern form of Hatha yoga that is used today in the West and which you certainly recognize, which refers strictly to body posture and asanas, but is a combination of practices to bring the total balance between body and mind.

Along with aromatherapy and music therapy, Yoga practices connect us with the healing energies of our own body and help them find a perfect balance. The role of meditation and asanas in Yoga is to purify the energies associated with the chakras (the energy points that are along the spine) and to open them to achieve the harmony necessary for a beautiful life.
